Von Iva

Jillian Iva, Bex, and Kelly Harris, better known as the San Francisco-based trio Von Iva, has had many musical tags thrust upon them. Electro pop punk. Soul rock dance. Synth rawk. Fashion-forward dance punk queens. Alt-pop. Gay icons. Dirty disco. The new purveyors of soul. A bombastic live band. Punk soul. A booty-shaking mix of soul, disco, and dirty raw rock and roll. Genre-crossing. Skuzzy and sultry. A saucy little affair. On December 19, 2008, Von Iva made their big screen debut in the Warner Brothers release starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel "Yes Man," playing the fictional band Munchausen by Proxy behind Deschanel. Von Iva has scored many recent placements including The L Word, Life, The City, Tap Tap Revenge, the BAFTA Awards, and more. "If you ever wished for Franz Ferdinand, P.J. Harvey, Gary Numan, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to be bottled up into a love potion, here it is! They're soul-shaking dance-punk queens-and they're going to rock your world." - BUST "...a sonic menage a trois of dance, disco and soul." - Suicide Girls "...fierce, oversize grooves, drama-queen sexuality and hook-laden songs that keep dance floors crowded." - SF Chronicle "The trio's shimmering electro-pop is firmly based on funky, sleek disco rhythms, reintroducing jaded hipsters to that carnally cathartic activity known as dancing..." - LA Weekly
