Tenth To The Moon

TIMELINE: Formed in 2002 by Mitchell Foy following the dissolution of Pineal Ventana (PV to its acolytes) and Foy's brief stint as Terminal I.F., Tenth To The Moon rises above the collapse of human empire through electro/tribal rituals of delirium and precision. After several lineup shifts, the group paired down to the core-duo of Foy and synthesist extraordinaire Doug Hughes (also of Broken Symmetry) in 2003. Others came and went over the intervening years, most notably bassist Tim Shea of Boston's Cloud Furnace, who left Tenth To The Moon shortly after the debut CD was completed. The current cast includes Foy; Hughes; Sean Moore (Lid Emba, formerly of Envie, 3d5spd, etc.); Foy's erstwhile King-Kill/33 compadre Keith Lee (Envie); and Brian Ginn, who played in the final incarnation of PV. Tenth To The Moon disbanded in early 2009. From 1990-1993 Foy fronted King-Kill/33, after which he co-founded and helmed PV through most of the 90's; various recordings of the band by Hughes' mobile Solar Wind studio were issued on CD. Hughes logged time with many projects orbiting Atlanta's 80's industrial scene, including several found on recordings released by Perimeter Records.
